When Anita Leopold came to us about creating new imagery for Flying Leap, she knew she didn’t want a traditional corporate uniform campaign. She wanted something cool and unexpected—an ad that would stand out within the airport industry and feel true to the company she has spent nearly three decades building.

That kind of project is always exciting to us.

Anita founded Flying Leap in 1997 and has grown it into a nationally respected airport-concessions company that partners with major airport operators across the country. Flying Leap is now ACDBE/SBEC-certified in more than 40 states and Washington, D.C. What Anita has built through hard work, integrity, and strong relationships is incredibly impressive—and we wanted the imagery to reflect that.

From the beginning, we knew we didn’t want the shoot to feel like we were simply documenting uniforms. The goal was to elevate each look through styling and create something polished, confident, and full of personality, while still honoring the people and the work the uniforms represent.

Bryan Dow worked closely with Anita to develop the creative direction and bring a distinct visual point of view to the campaign. From there, our Spin Style team brought all the pieces together through photography, styling, production, and the design of the final ad.

We were lucky to bring together an incredible team of artists for the shoot. Liz Von Hoene photographed the campaign, Rebecca Weinberg styled the talent, Haley Dani created the makeup looks, and Arlene Martin styled the hair. Each brought her own perspective and years of experience to the set, helping us take the uniforms beyond the expected while keeping the people wearing them at the center of the story.

We also photographed a new portrait of Anita that day. It felt important to include the woman behind Flying Leap and capture the warmth, strength, and individuality she brings to the company. Her portrait helped tell a more complete story—not only about the company Flying Leap is today, but also about the person whose vision made it possible.

This project reminded us how much can happen when a client trusts the creative process and is willing to move beyond what is expected. A uniform can be functional and still feel stylish. A corporate campaign can communicate experience and credibility without feeling predictable. And a single image can tell a much bigger story.
